  Great local eatery in Tarboro. Eat in or take out. The recommended sandwich is the Reuben's although mine was a bit too greasy!

  We drive 35 miles to go to this place, and usually just go for special occasions. It's by far our favorite place. We've probably been there around 10 times, and until today, it has always been just as wonderful as the last time. Tonight was terrible, however. Not just the food, but the service as well. I ordered tuna, and the server did not say it was raw when I asked her about it. When I got it and saw it was cold and raw, I told her I couldn't deal with that. She admitted it was her fault for not telling me about it, and asked if I wanted it cooked or another dish. I told her to just get it cooked. She said it would take 3-4 minutes. It took 20. My husband finished his dinner before mine ever got to the table again. When it finally arrived, it was obvious that it had just been microwaved. It was very rubbery and gray and dry, and had no flavor whatsoever. I still couldn't eat it. The side dish that came with it was also not very good. Brought it home to feed to the dogs. Very, very disappointed. I'm not even a picky eater and couldn't eat it.
